Title: Both Sides Now
Production Number: 2.8
Written By: Peter David and Bill Mumy
Directed By: Jeff Blyth
Story Summary: This episode starts out with the kids arguing saying how it would be easier if they were each other. Miss. Davenport has downloaded the Christa's memory banks into her head, which has grown to an increadable size, and so can do most anything. She, overhearing the kids complaining, thinks that by changing them into the others she will be helping them. So she changes them and they swap places.
Bova and Rosie switch. THELMA and Suzee, and Radu and Harlan. They don't really like it like they thought they would. Harlan finds out that the super hearing of Andromidins (sp?) is very annoying because every little sound sounds like someone is blasting his ears out. THELMA doesn't like being human, and actually cries in this episode, because before as a robot she was closer to the computer. After the ship starts going
haywire and heading into Spung territory they kids relize they have to change course. Bova and Rosie go into the engine area and try to fix the engiene but the Christa recognizes them as intruders and locks them in an area which will get full of energy in a few minutes. Radu convinces Harlan that everyone is needed to run the ship and Harlan, now being Andromidin breaks open the glass window and Bova and Rosie get out safely.
The kids start running and just avoid being toasted by the power comming out of the engiens. Then they go to Miss Davenport and ask her to please change them back but Miss Danvenport doesn't seem to understand why they want to be changed back. So the kids start closing in on her. Finally when you see her again she is tied to a chair and Suzee (now THELMA) is inserting an object into Miss Davenport's ear. Miss Davenport says something to the effect
of, (in a snotty voice) where are you going to put that?. After sucking her brains back into the Christa the Christa returns the kids and THELMA back to their normal self. Miss. Davenport ends up with a bald head.
